Stockings are hung on the chimney with care, in the hopes that Saint Nick will stop playing Arma2 and deliver the presents soon!
We at OFPEC wish you and yours, happy holidays and a prosperous new year.
See you in 2011!

Sorry about that interruption folks. I was tinkering with the php and it ended up not going well.
Further to that we had some performance problems and it now looks like we are back to normal.

The staff @ OFPEC are pleased to report that after a successful donation drive, a very generous community of patrons have ensured that OFPEC will continue to operate well into the future...
OFPEC will be undergoing maintenance over the next day or so as we move the site to a new server. We'll obviously try to keep the interruption to a minimum, but some disruption will be inevitable.
We've taken several independant backups of resources and databases, so you can rest assured that your content is safe and secure as we make the transition.
As always, we're grateful for your ongoing support and patience. We'll keep you posted.

OFPEC is going through a tough time financially as of late. Donations have been down, and OFPEC's renewal with its hosting company is approaching quickly. We are looking for donations no matter the size, big or small to help us reach the goal of purchasing another yearly renewal with our hosting company.
If you want to help OFPEC remain a site dedicated to editing fans then we need your help! Please help donate!
Bohemia Interactive have included a touching tribute to the late James Mcnicoll, better known to the Community as Planck, in Operation Arrowhead.
OFPEC has always relied on donations from the Community to keep the site running. Sometimes these donations take the form of a resource from one of our members, or a staff member's time, but most importantly we occasionally receive monetary donations which go directly towards paying for our web hosting.
On Wednesday night, OFPEC lost one of the most knowledgeable people in the OFP/ArmA Community. Planck suffered from COPD but that didn't keep him from answering questions and helping out people on a daily basis. His work on OFPEC's COMREF and the Community Biki, as a CWR work-horse, as a BIS moderator and as my co-leader at OFPEC will never be forgotten. It's a very sad day for myself as I think back to the late night chats and playing OFP with him.
Planck's son Paul passed on the message this morning that there is a service for him on the 19th April at 12 noon at the Moray Crematorium in Buckie, Scotland. All are welcome.

Rest in peace good friend.

OFPEC has recently been visited by a couple of spambots which send out Personal Messages at random inviting members to click a link in the PM. If you get one, just delete it. If you're ever asked for personal information or account details at OFPEC, do not respond even if it looks legit - we'll never ask for such information. Instead, contact the site admins and we'll look into it - your security and privacy are important to us.
Meantime we're looking into ways to prevent this sort of thing, but as you can imagine the spammers are always one step ahead. We'll keep you posted.
