"After 3 months of hard work by our team, supported by many members of the ARMA II community that provided us with invaluable feedback from ARMA II's public betaversions, the release of the major update 1.05 for ARMA II is coming close and we would like to highlight how much it improves the game for us and hopefully also for our users."
A beta version of the long-awaited ACE2 mod for Arma2 was released today, and it can be found here.
ACE stands for Advanced Combat Enhancement. ACE2 is intended as a total conversion mod, changing most aspects of the game in one way or another, and it has a long history in the Operation Flashpoint/Armed Assault Community.
Installation procedures and full contents can be found on BI Forums.

This semi-fictional news page mixes real world news with stories from Bohemia Interactive's fictional world as portrayed in Operation Flashpoint, Armed Assault and ArmA2. Launched in October 2009, the site seems to be updated on an almost daily basis, and speculations on the BI Forums suggests that the AAN site might be a new variant of the William Porter Blog, intended for the future release of Operation Arrowhead.
Similar PR was also undertaken for Operation Flashpoint and its sequel Operation Flashpoint: Resistance back in 2001-2003.
"Your mom canceled your Warcraft-account? The TV is broken? Friends out of town? Don't let boredom rule your life. Just get a new one!"
Patch 1.04 for ArmA2 is already in the pipeline, together with editor's tools and a dedicated Linux version, according to a statement made by Bohemia Interactive's Community Manager Placebo at the BI Forums today.
DMarkwick has announced that he is continuing work on his smoke effects from Armed Assault.
On behalf of the whole F2 team I'm pleased to announce our new release of the F2 Mission Development Framework. F2 is the successor to the popular BAS f mission development framework for ArmA (discussed in this thread). The new framework contains many of the features you know from BAS f, updated to work with Arma2, plus some new components which take advantage of the new game's special features.
For downloads and to find out more please see our online manual:

A Russian-language version of the manual will be available soon.
The mysterious Editor Modules are now getting more and more official documentation. The Biki has recently been updated with information on how to use the infamous First Aid Module that came with ArmA2. At the same time a new Multiplayer Framework is presented for advanced scripters.
