Dynamic Dialog Positioning?
« on: 07 Feb 2003, 00:13:01 »
Hello,
Reading through the forums and Vektorboson's tutorial I get the impression that dialog box positions are fixed in the 'description.ext'.

I am wondering if you can change the position of a dialog in game (e.g. by a script). Or would I have to define a thousand of them for each screen position I wanted?

Thanks all.

Perhaps you could find something useful in Vektorboson's Dialog Tutorial. Maybe.

Um, he already said he read Vektorboson's tutorial.

In any event, as far as I know, you cannot change the location of a dialog dynamically.  But, maybe Vektorboson can answer that more accurately.

You can't change the position of dialogs by scripts, but you can change their position with drag and drop. I didn't test it yet, but you need a control with style ST_TITLE_BAR (32)
