make sure all the pbo addon files are in the addon folder in your ofp directory and not in any subfolders.

Then close res and reboot it and it should work

(NB all files have to be unzipped/extracted after downloading)

Addons for Resistance should be put in your:

\operationflashpoint\res\AddOns\ folder.

Could ya plz verify the meaning of this m8  ??? :)

I've had NO prob's  so far putting addons in the "old" addons folder,
no matter the version needed.

i.e.  RES addons can still be added to the normal ofp-addons folder to my knowledge.  :-\ :)

There's really no cold hard facts on this one, because everyones copy of OFP:R seems to be behaving differently.

For instance, the editor upgrade, which gets us placable OFP:R objects in the editor (for OFP:R that is) has to be in the \res\AddOns\ folder.
1.75 loads it's addons from \res\AddOns\
so if the addon has "required version = 1.75;" you have to put it in the res\AddOns.
But many addons don't require that.
But, to be on the safe side you should put everything in there.
1.46 addons can be run from there, but 1.75 addons can't be run from the original Addons folder.

Well...  I guess it does behave differently...  (guess it depends on the addons...hmmm?   ;))

For me, I haven't put any of my Res addons or anything in my Res folder..  If I play OFP 1.46 it gives me an error about an addon and then I click ok and if plays fine..

So....  My advice would be trial and error M8!   ::)

Take some things out, put some things back in...  Wait.. What was I talking about again?   ::)  Oh yeah..  Just start from scratch and put groups of 10 addons back in till it's fixed!   ;D

Hope that helps..   :D

Odd...  well, its not that important, as long as it works  8)
but it IS confusing to read all kinds of "how to do's" re. RES  :P

Example: I put a copy of the "M109 ADATS" ( a RES armored vehicle ) in my normal add. folder
and the bloody thing works like a charm.

I've tried to put some goods in BOTH the res/addons AND the ofp/addons,
but the game seems to ignore this fact - it just runs like if I'd only been putting the stuff in the normal AddOns folder.

Very confusing, but wtf.

Nevermind, m8  ;)

well as far as i have gathered this is the reason for the 2 addons folders.

Resistance will boot up and load all addons from both folders - because resistance can use all addons for ofp.

The old ofp cd will only boot up the normal addons folder (because it cant use all addons) - so if you have placed 1.75 addons in here, expect summit nasty to happen (quits i think)

so - as a rule just place all resistance only addons in the resistance folder and 1.46 in the addons folder - you dont need a copy in both - resistance will find all the addons.

No m8 the add on folder is already there in your OFP directory.

You can  unzip the add on file directily to that folder by opening the 'Winzip' file then clicking on the 'Add on' pbo file you want and highlight it. Then click on 'Extract', you get another window open saying 'Extract to...'
If OFP is saved onto your 'C:' drive then just type this:

C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\AddOns

or just find the place your OFP is saved too using the 'folders and drives' list menu and highlighting the add ons folder in your OFP directory.

Hope that helps  ;)

well - it isnt always there - the addons folder is created after you upgrade OFP to version 1.1

although if you just buy OFP and RES and install them - i dont think the old one is created since all the official addons are n the RES folder....

im not sure.

Heya

no prob's mate, easy done

your best bet would be to use the Search option on your Start button, if you can't remember where they were d/loaded to. Something like *.zip in the "File's or Folders" would tell you where all your ZIP files are located.

try "My document's" or "Temp" folder in Window's DIR.
