How to get AI's to shoot whil in Animations?

Is there a way to get AI's to shoot while doing a switchMove or playMove animation?

Unfortunately, no. Most of the time you see that happening in videos thanks to the wonders of post. :P

Wait, what? That's what i want to know. If there is a way to trigger them to shoot for a video. They don't have to hit anyone.

Post might mean Post Production, like adding muzzleflashes with After Effects for example..  :scratch:

Ah. So out of every possible ArmA 2 script on the planet, there is not one that triggers them to pull the trigger once?

(I've got after effects, this just would be easier.)

Have you checked the COMREF or BIKI for commands that may work? Such as FireAtTarget or Fire or Fire or DoFire?

99.9% of animations triggered via switchMove and playMove disable the ability to fire for any unit they're happening on. Using the fire command and such will unfortunately not work. There has been no discovery as to how to make it work, and it's actually probably impossible with how the animations are defined.

And yes, "post" means video editing and such.

I think I saw something about enabling weapon in the animation config definitions but ususally those config tokens don't mean even close to what you think the mean. And in this case it probably means is the weapon visible or something..

Alright, editing them in is no prob (got Adobe After Effects CS4) it just will take longer.
