Sure. But I try to do as much alone as I can because it's my first addon. I need experience ;)

I have to repeat that I can only work on weekends. Therfore not much visible progress so far. But I am working. I solved that texture problem with the nose of the chopper pretty good. Not perfect but I think it's the best I could do. And I added some details to the nose texture and that's it for today. It's almost 12:00 pm here and I am a a bit ill and need some sleep.

btw:

I am still in need of autenthic cockpit shots from the vietnam or korea era.

the best ive been able to find is of an S-61(civilian classification of the choctaw/wessex i think), i think theres only one digital display in this and its on the center concole, remove that and it should be fine...

I have that restauration pic already but as I know from another source it isn't the typical dashboard for UH 34D used in Vietnam. But infact I used it for the instruments I painted.

The other pic has a great perspective. But the cockpit looks very different from that of an UH 34D in some places ;) But I think I can piece the texture together from it :) Thanks Evis!

Updates... well I am thinking of redoing a buch of the current textures at some places (if I can figure out how to do it in photoshop) and there is still enough work to do. As I said I can't work on it during the weekdays and last weekend I was ill and couldn't do as much as I wanted to do. And then there is that annoying problem with O2 that doesn't let me set textures. I always need some hours just to start o2 ;) So there can be no short term work on it.

But work is underway and I've textured most of the fuselage now and I've constantly worked on the other LODs to optimise them.

Donnervogel, I have to say some impressive work with the UH-34D. I have some engine sounds of the UH-34D I believe 4 different versions. If you're interested, or need any .wav clips, just send me PM and I'd happy to supply you with them.

Argh I couldn't get O2 running properly today. So I couldn't proceed in texturing. But I edited the cockpit. It looks much better now even though I couldn't add textures.

I hate BIS for NOT supporting O2.

You'll get pics as soon as I completed the rough texturing on the first LOD. I think it'll be finished next weekend... if the O2 gods are with me and let o2 run properly. After that I'll try to add some different color tones on the fuselage but that is final tweaking. I still have work left with the other LODs and of course the whole cpp writing stuff.

I'm sorry that I didn't post screenshots but I was pretty unsatified with the textures and I reworked them. Now I am still unsatisfied with the textures for the inside and the cockpit. espeacialy the dashboard. It's extremly hard to get that done because there are almost no useable screenshots of those parts in the net. Some things I painted myself but since I'm not at all an artist they look... hmm not very good.

However here is a shot with the outside of the chopper.
(it looks pretty ugly because of the jpeg compression...)

I'd be willing to help texture, if you need any. I think the Nam heli's turned out pretty nice :)
If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw one of those small pumpkins. Maybe it'll make everyone think how stupid war is, and while they are thinking, you can throw a real grenade at them.
