walk slow, breathe fast ?
« on: 02 Jul 2007, 13:26:11 »
Hi,
you know you can switch between default running, fast running and walking slow. Do you know why the breathing gets harder when you walk slow ? Or is this a bug ?   :dunno:

thanks + regards  :)

Sounds like a bug. Never paid attention to it?

Doesn't seem to happen with me. But if you walk while crouched, then it happens. I think it's realistic, because if you try it in real life, it feels a bit hard and makes you breath faster after a while.

No, you're right gambla it's the slow walk.

There'll be two reasons.
First your aim becomes more stable while walking with your weapon lined up and probably BIS thought "slow" isn't penalty enough and connected it to endurance.
Second, there's a making of on my Black Hawk Down DVD that shows a military advisor demonstrating this kind of walking. You have to concentrate your whole body movement to keep the lined up rifle steady. Most important for this goal is that your knees stay slightly bend all the time. - You can't walk forever like this.

EDIT: You can walk slow while standing or crouched in ArmA.
