here's an article (plus photos and a small video) in the online edition of a german news mag  covering obviously the same  batwings as it reads EGS on the wing -- the company mentioned in the daily mail article http://www.spiegel.de/wissenschaft/mensch/0,1518,427494,00.html
NB the jet engine on one photo is fake, made for but never used in a james bond movie ;)

if someone helped me with config and scripting i'm up to making it. atm i'm a bit in pressed for time due to uni issues, but as of next week i'll have plenty of free time.

@blip: i wrote you a PM about 2 weeks ago about this. received?

edit: that batwing's called gryphon, is to be manufactured be the munich-based company ESG (Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH) which is also producing a funsports pendant to the gryphon called skyray

edit2: that article in the online spiegel is now also available in english: http://service.spiegel.de/cache/international/spiegel/0,1518,428830,00.html
