Crossbows
« on: 09 Oct 2002, 19:20:49 »
Since I saw in many movies special forces commandos using modern crossbows as silent sniper weapons, I wondered if anybody ever tought to make an addon like this.
I guess it should need an animation for the arms of the bow, and telescopic aiming just like the m-21.

well... Realistic? Possible? Of course it should be cool!

Well... Isn't the HK suppressed? I mean, the bad guys in the game don't seem to detect you when shooting... Or is it an impression?

Yeah, go ahead and make it.  The only tough parts might be keeping the arrow from exploding when it gets there (though I suppose a 40mm flare won't explode when you shoot it at OPFOR) and animating the string.

Make it one of those awesome models with the pulleys...

All the tools are out, make it yourself ;)
