"No entry '.modelSpecial'."
« on: 20 Jul 2005, 19:00:39 »
any idea what this error message means?

i have removed all weapons from the player, and have enabled a choice of secondary weapons through a dialogue. when only the secondary weapon is chosen, the above error appears.

ideas?

By secondary weapon you mean what OFP understands as secondary weapon (secondaryWeapon)?

If so, maybe yer giving a wrong kind of weapon as secondary weapon?
For example pistols are not secondary weapons...

EDIT:
ModelSpecial is a secondary model for a weapon, like when you load a mortar on a M16 it's the modelSpecial that appears in the units hand, and that model has the mortar modelled on the barrel... When you fire the mortar the modelSpecial is switched back to the regular model...
Afaik.. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.. ::)

dunno what i did to correct the script, but it's no longer throwing the error at me. i think it was needing a check to see if certain strings were null...

anyways, it's almost done now - a cheat dialogue which enables the player to choose a loadout, spawn aircraft or other vehicles, even perform a jedi mind trick  8)

who says i have too much time on my hands.... :P
