Visnorsk Island beta version

Hi,
My first Island ready for first betatesting. Hope I get loads of feedback.
Description:
3 km long, 1-1,5 km large
3 towns (villages)
usual environment
Airport
I'm having trouble with cutom textures (help needed at addon edititing forum)

Its a good island, lots of detail and i like the large forests (good for covert ops) but are you planning on expanding it and could you add a few small islands around it like the airport one but smaller ;D

Yes, expansion is in work. It seemed a bit stupid to have the airport that far away. I had three small very nice Islands with lots of rocky and narrow passes already done, but one wrong object screwed the whole thing up   and I had no copy with this expansion :'( :'( :'( . So now I'm building a big 2x2 km large 500m high mountain with roads going up two sides villages, passes..... between the island and the airport that links both of them.  All hand made. Takes a loooooooooooooooooooooooot of time. should be ready for a first test in 3-4 days. (This time I got three!!!backup copies!

It seemed a bit stupid to have the airport that far away.

I suppose it is a little too far but i like launching attacks and black-ops insertions form that island to the main one ;D Good luck with the expansion

I disagree about the distance between the two islands being too far. I love this map for single player mission design. The airport island is great for base design, and the main island with large forests/base/towns is awesome.

I have been looking for a map like this for a while. This map has prompted me to write scripts for heli-extractions, cargo drops etc. (Heli script posted on beta-script forum, built and tested on visnorsk.)

Also, if the player (based on airport island ) attacks the larger island, you really become dependent on air forces, which is a new challenge, especially if u load the main island with lots of AA

I still have the old version of the island.
But...

to your dissapointment maybe, I added a new Island that links both main island and the airport. It's still in work, but about 70% is done. A good thing is that this Island can be closed to enemy tresspassing coz it's a mountainside with good playground for ambush situations.

hello, I just downloaded your island, I'll test it out and let you know what I think.

hmm, not bad. Some of the roads are very steep, but it's still okay, the towns are a bit compressed though, with buildings being shoved together it can sometimes look ugly.
