What does this mean?I was trying to add music into the intro of my mission and I get this.  Help?

There is a script/trigger/initfield somewhere with that text in it.
Could you paste the complete offending code?

It looks as if you have a syntax error; 'this set be]', the closing-bracket should either go away or be accompanied with an open-bracket (which will then require a second argument).

The # in an error message usually indicates where in the code the error has occurred.

Read error messages carefully:  they usually tell you what's gone wrong, though as you say they are not always easy to understand.   The first job is always to figure out which line of code is causing the problem.

Yeah, somewhere there is the line "this set be"
Either it's in a init.sqs file, or somewhere in the mission.sqm file
If you post the mission.sqm file I could check though it and tell you where it is

I would think that be is an object,where set needs a string?
this set "be" ?

Or,

the ] is accidently written in the script:this setbehaviour ..... ? instead of this set be]haviour?

OOoookayee, here it is, the mission file, heh heh.Gosh, I dont know how you guys figure out these, I would need a class on this.I'd hate to have to try and take out objects just to weed out the problem, I already took out the scripts I put in to make music and that they might not be right,all thats left is the missions sequence file.

Well the brackets, I'm not sure if they are brackets, I tried looking for the type on the keyboard and couldnt find striaght brackets so i used these.]]

Your mission.sqm is incomplete........are you sure that is all of it?

Use '[' for arrays

EDIT:  the words 'this', 'set' and 'be' do not appear in the mission.sqm that you posted.

EDIT2:  That was strange..........after seeing ACF's post I searched again and this time Notepad found it.  The first time I asked it to look it reported no instances of the words 'this set be'

In OFP scripting language square brackets [], curly brackets {}, pointy brackets <> and ordinary brackets () all have different meanings.   If you use the wrong kind your code won't work.  

The error has nothing to do with you trying to add music.   What were you trying to do when you wrote the now-famous "this set be["?      Or was it the cat exploring the keyboard?

AAAahhhh, now I remember.I was trying to get that soldier to sit down and do something , and some other soldiers to appear talking to each other.  That soldier is sitting on top of a sand bag fence on the mortar pit.

Bloodmixer? Hmmm, I'm going to take a look at that. Thanks guys.I will report later.

Yeah, thers a SEBNam Mortar Soldier somewhere with that in his INIT

It's weird how it let you press okay (I'm sure if you typed something wrong it will point it out, and won't let you press okay till you sort it
