Addon problem
« on: 17 Jul 2004, 18:03:25 »
Hi,

Im having a problem using addons, i put them in my addons folder and they wont show up in mission editor in game.

Its directory is:

C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\AddOns

I have recently installed flashpoint after not playing it for about a year. In the past I have been able to use addons without any problem.

PLEASE help me, flashpoint is no fun without the addons  ;)

Thank you in advanced-

What version are you currently running?

Are you sure the Addons you can't see aren't for Resistance only?

Can you see the addons that came with the game in the Editor?

I had a problem like this YEARS ago (when I was an OFP n00b). This may be a diff prob, but im just trying to help. I found that if you reinstall flashpoint when there is still an older flashpoint directory present (even if there are no files or anything in it) it adds (or takes away, depends on ur current folder name) the space between "Operation" and "Flashpoint". Maybe the folder your putting your addons into is the older one and you need to put it into the one with/out the space between operation and flashpoint. Sorry if that doesn't help, best I can think of.

Only other thing I can think of is...........

Have you shut down the game and restarted after adding these addons?...........otherwise the game won't see them till you restart the game.

EDIT :  You did place the pbo's in the addons folder didn't you?........not the downloaded zip files.

Thats about all I can come up with right now.

Really this is an editing site, it only really deals with the editing side of things.

You should try the official forums......Troubleshooting board........here:

http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard311/ikonboard.cgi?s=5d9b15bd7d56f0a6ca920cbec0aa2304;act=SC;c=10

You might get more help there, especially if someone has had a similar problem......do a search.
