"changing mod's sounds" how?
« on: 17 Feb 2004, 05:53:28 »
I know that changing someone elses mod sound sounds a bit lame but thats not the goal to steel someone elses idea.I just want to enhance the sound.Sure I would get a hold of that person,if theyed only email me back.Well anyhow, I just wanted to change the sounds of some mods that have at sometimes, too over processed sounds.I tried but the wss file only turned out empty. So far I have some really cool realistic sounds that I have been working on thanks to Satchels method, he's a genious.   SAtchel if you are out there and have read this please email me back. Thanks bro.I keep gettting the mailer demon.

If you know the names of the sounds defined in the Mod you might be able to override them using Description.ext. I did notice some starnge things when messing around with the same sound files defined with different OFP names in Description.ext.

If you could, this would be better than trying to modify and distribute an entire MOD or addon.

Sorry I cant offer anymore info than that, I never had chance to experiment.
