Ok, making progress, people. Just one thing though...do we REALLY need animated goggles? It works fine, but I truly hate the warping...IÂ'm thinking about scrapping the animation and just put a pair of static goggles on the helmet.
What do you think?

Ok, static goggles it is (in the off-position). Modelwise the soldiers are almost finished. Just some texturing left to do. The SA80 is in itÂ's early stage.

Quoting myself: "Got tired of waiting for our beloved brits to join the fight..."

Those words really came back with a vengeance! My spare time is - to put it mildly - very limited right now. IÂ'm afraid I have no other excuse...
Scrapped the SA80 anim for now. It works beautifully as long as you donÂ't try to get in a vehicle with customized anims - like the dunebuggy;ManActBuggydriver etc - the poor brit freezes in the "GET IN" anim that results in a pretty funny driveposition.
Also still struggling with the annoying glasses and beret showing up when in 1st person view in vehicles. (Phew, long sentences...)
Having serious thoughts of donating this project to people with more talent/time... Stay tuned.   :-\

they need to be defined as selections, and written in the config with the same name in the CFG Models section

Nope thatÂ's not it. The sections and hiddenselections are accurate.
The hidden selections ARE hidden, believe me.  ;)
It probably has to do with the fact that IÂ'm using an INIT-eventhandler on the soldiers. 1.91 activates the handler over and over when getting in and out of vehicles thus providing a nasty abuse of 'setobjecttexture'. Yes, 1.92-1.94 beta solves that issue and will be tried out ASAP in my world.   :-\
