Long time no see. Been out of it for a while...Gonna steal a few hours tonight and fix some issues that has been brought to my attention.
Icons, NV-goggles and numerous other tweaks...
Thanx for your patience!

Don't know if anyone's mentioned it but the sniper model has a bit of a problem, when using a secondary weapon (LAW etc) the model of the weapon is incorrectly displayed on the soldier model (i think it's something to do with the proxies, but you'll probably know more than me on that front). Other than that nice units.

@Soul Catcher
That's a deliberate error, the remnants of an attempt to let the blokes carry their RPG-launchers more realistic. Not that good - or finished though...  :-\

Gday all...

Hows everything coming along mate?

Did you add the blackout feature?? I hope so..  I can help with permissions if you havent got them already.

Finally.. I hate to ask and you hate to hear it.. but.. Are you expecting to release an updated beta soon?    :o
(We can host it for you soon at MIA if you need)

@Chudley
How do you mean? Should I remove the beret-wearing medics?

@MadAussie
Yes, the blackout feature...It is cool but I've just removed any type of scripting or eventhandler on the units (hate lagging). Maybe I could provide next version with an extra .cpp devoted to such things...

The progress this far:
-The floating wrist are now remedied thanks to the great Ebud.
-The vest and pouches now have a pale dirtier look to avoid that 'straight outta K-mart' look.
-The suntan is applied on all units (no scripting).
-Slightly rescaled upper bodies and arms to a less beefy look.
-Improved LOD
-New model: Sniper (with an unshaved dirty look) 75% complete
-New model: Regular (desert flak jacket and bergen) 50% complete

I will post pictures soon.

Gday all..

Sounds great mate...
I think blackout feature can be added in mission editor to 'other' units anyway.. Is this right??

Maybe a plain t-shirt and camo pants without webbing.. like an off duty soldier.. that would be good for missions.. wouldnt worry about multiple  loadouts (only basic sidearm).. can do it in mission editor and provide weapon crates too

What do you think?

Hopefully this picture will work ;)

Apologies for poor detail, my grpahics card is poor and I stupidly converted the file to a .jpg rather than leavig it as a .bmp.  But it gives you some idea of what these things look like. :)

MadAussie, you must be reading my mind! An R&R/wounded unit is in the making (T-shirt and hiddenselection bandages on every hitpoint).
Nice pics! Yes, the weapons are of top quality so I will definately make a reference to P:UKF weapons in the next release (a real timesaver!). I will however add a sand-camo L96 Sniper rifle (under progress).
The vest is still unfinished, working like a maniac.

Some progress pics...a new Sniper-model with a different kind of skinlayer than the rest (unshaved, dirty tanned face).

First the regular untanned look...

Indeed, nice work my friend. :)

The Sniper looks like he's been bashing his head into the floor!  The model does look far better now.  Excellent progress so far mate!  Keep it up! :D
