Regarding the Leopard in the BW-Mod, has it's interiors been updated in the 1.1 version?
What is new in the 1.1 version?
You can't have a Norge army mod without the Mercedes 240/290GD, has that been included? Hmmm... Why don't i just go download and see for myself?

Phoenix,
The links to the NFM and Miltrad pages do not currently show the new "Recon" vest, only the Norge chestrig and that "Stridsvest" joke.
Quite frankly, i don't believe the NORSOF uses that Norwegian produced webbing when in a combat environment (I sure as hell wouldn't...). My guess is that they'd go for Blackhawk or Hagor vests if they wanted combat proven quality and performance.

Viking,
The C8 is an M4 built by the Canadian company Diemaco under licence from Colt. It's basically the same thing only with a few modifications. The version the FSK/MJK uses is the C8FT version, which comes standard with a flat-top reciever and weaver rail, enabling all kinds of scopes and lights to be strapped to it.

BTW. Are you sure the NORSOF uses the M4? They might have had it on trials, but i don't recall hearing that it's been issued...

Ok. I might have been wrong, but in an official Norwegian Army Magazine (Forsvarets Forum) they write that they use the M4, but that could be just another stupid journalist mistake(they are sooo stupid when it comes to things like this:)
Can u post a pic of a C8?

C8FT Version with stock Elcon scope (This is the rifle in NORSOF service),

A close range sniper/tactical version,

And a heavy barrel one, allowing for more shooting  ;D,

I think that the Norwegian Special Forces can make a lot of own choises of what weapons they will use. I got this from my brother he is a captain in the Norwegian army.
And a weapon I think they really need is a m82a1 50cal. I don't think anyone made this for resistance.
And if someone gonna make some Norwegian addons, I am soon going to make a homepage and i got lot of space :)

Knepo,
SF does have a lot of freedom when it comes to kit, as getting the job done is much more important than "looking good". Unfortunately, this can't be said about the rest of the Norge army, though.

The way it works for the NORSOF is that they have a yearly budget they adhere to, and buy kit out from whatever their needs may be. NORSOF have access to every small arm within the standard KOP, in addition to others, namely the Minimi, C8, MSG90, HK SOCOM (Also heard rumors of the FN2000 rifle for test. Rumors). Them being SF does not grant them the opportunity to go mad in the gun shop ;D (But anyway, the Norge lineup is more than adequate for any situation/operation IMHO ;))
Also, I know the SVI armory has a lot of different types of guns in storage that has been brought for testing by various units within the armed forces. And the marines have recently received a batch of brand new G36 rifles for test and trials. They've also "gotten rid of" the NM149 and replaced it with the MSG90 as standard sniper rifle, the .50 Sniper is also in use for anti-material role.

Back on topic,

Viking,
I'll be off the 26. Sept for that C8 test, so i'll get some pics taken from there.
Also, If you're interested, i could have those mentioned photos sent over to you.

BTW, are the Norge addons reskinnings, or are they new Oxygen models?

Cheers!

The units are new oxygen models. The chopper might be a reskinning, though. As with the F-16. I dunno. The guy hasen't been answering my e-mails for a while. Prbably very busy whith the addons. He said in his last mail that he will finish them this weekend. Do you know anything about modeling, Marsuitor or knepo? If you do, couldn't you make an C8 one of u? I'll try, but I'm not very good at moddeling.
And yes, those pics would be appreciated.
BTW, thanks for all the info! :)

Viking,
New Oxygen models = Brilliant!
Do you have an ingame or oxygen shot of them?

I don't know anything about modelling, unfortunately, but i believe someone is already working on a C8 rifle...or was that C7? In any case one will be coming...

About those pics,
I can either send them in low-res by e-mail, or High res on CD via snail mail.
If you want snail mail, IM your address, and i'll have them sent by Tuesday.

Knepo,
Yes, unfortunately that's the way it is. A darn shame all those pencil pushing zombies who's in charge of equipment only come out of the office when it's time to do shopping.
The only two units in Norge who are in control of their budgets and shops out their needs is the NORSOF and to some degree, the Marines.
