Multi trigger name set
« on: 12 Jul 2003, 05:33:01 »
OK this is most probably easy as s**t but i cant remember if its possible OK i would like to place a trigger say like a boundary but instead of just killing it sets the units name to be "Long" be it in single or multi player or just one of them so if you cant understand this ill try this

:::::OK:::::

1. Place trigger
2. When a unit activates trigger its sets the units name to "Long"
3. Activates script called "phycoshift.sqs"
4. Nice one thanks in advanced

...sets the unit name to "long"??

I don't think u can change units names ingame...

You can show his name on screen with hint/titletext format thats all imho

Search or search or search before you ask.

if you like to change only the name you can change the identity to another one in your "description.ext" - file ...  >:(

there must be away what it is is going to be a kill zone that give the unit a name then runs a script that targets that name and fires a ICBM or an air craft lunches and targets that player

If you know which unit it is, just type:

long = <my_unit>

after that, you can do things with 'long'. where's the problem ?
