Quick Extract via C-130 (SetVelocity)
« on: 23 Jan 2003, 21:46:27 »
I was watching Discovery Wings once and they talked about a C-130 which could "snatch up" a person who wore a special suit. The suit was attached to a rope and balloon. When the balloon floated up, the C-130 would fly by and snag the rope with a special rig on the nose of the aircraft.

Would it be possible to do this in OFP? I was thinking that you could use SetVelocity to make a person "fly" up in an arc. And to simulate the noise of the C-130, you could have an A-10 fly above the area at an extreme height.

Why not just use a C130 addon?

And setPos would probably work better than setVelocity...
