Geometry LOD
« on: 07 Sep 2010, 13:58:16 »
Hey everyone.

I've occasionally come back and forth to modeling, but always give up after failing - specifically at a certain point.

Now, a friend of mine has provided me a model he has made for me which is a largeish jail building. The problem I have is that I can't get geometry LOD working.

This is what I have done -

Duplicated my visual LOD
Removed the detailed bits of the visual lod
Saved all the walls as a selection called Component01
Applied Mass
Redefined selection
Saved - doesn't work.

Anything I should know?

How did you name the sections?
Its usually auto named via the menu system "find components"

Sorry I haven't replied, been busy at work!

In the end I got this working. It turns out you can't be naughty and geo lod a duplicate of the building and define as one Component01 selection. You have to do each wall individually somewhat and define each as its own component :p
