Modules, scripts and how to use them
« on: 22 Feb 2010, 02:50:06 »
I'd like to integrate properly constructed mortar or air support in my next mission, not necessarily -- in fact preferably not -- under the player's control.  I am still some way from mastering the Editor and all its coding options so it will be a long time, if ever, before I do any scripting, as I have no experience in, or talent for, code.  However, there seem to be such great scripts -- or are they "modules"? -- available, which I would like to investigate using, giving credit to their authors, of course.

I'd be grateful if someone could lay on me some of the general principles of "module" and "script" usage in the Editor, how they connect with the player, how you make them work in coop missions and anything else you think I might need to know before embarking on a long voyage into unknown territory.  As always, thank you!
