DOOM Campaign!

Hey, I want to try and make an actual campaign similar to Doom 3.  However, the monsters are not that really "scary" and sometimes they dont even attack you.  What I need is a scary monster very similar to doom 3 as possible that can actually attack the player with their claws (instead of fireballs).  Also, I need a good atmosphere such as buildings so I can place these monsters inside them (wonder if the entire island can be a building?).
