strobe light for halo ?

hi   i am   currently  working  on special forces  mission a  halo  night insertion  i would like to mark the dropzone  with a  illuimnating wind  marker  
   which is   smoke  and   light   in flash maybe in   flash it would be    white flare  on the ground   lit  on  trigger   but  i would love to know  how to get the   bas markers  working    the one   they  use   for a  heli   dz  please  help me if you know  how
