cutrsc and titlecuts together
« on: 02 Jul 2003, 18:09:25 »
Hey all.  my problem is that I have defined text to be black and in a certain font, etc. using the useful tutorial in the editors depot.  my only problem is I have a panning camera which i want to fade out using white out.  this is easy enough but then (after a couple of seconds preferably) I want the user-defined resource to be displayed on top of this white out.  At present of course one cancels the other.

Is it possible to layer these two?  if not how can I add a white out to the actual resource itself (so the resource actually becomes both).

Hope that makes sense.

It is possible to use the triggers to activate the text and give it a white out feature but I want to determine the lengths of the fade.

Hope someone can help - cheers.

Hey mike...

Try using titlersc instead of cutrsc...

Titlersc (and titletext, titleobj etc.) will remain on the screen during a fade out (or white out), while cutrsc (or cuttext, cutobj) will be overriden

Hope that helps you out ;)
