Destroyable Forest Trees
« on: 28 Nov 2002, 19:06:46 »
I want to simulate one of those 5,000-lb bombs being dropped on a forest to clear out an LZ. Problem is that the forest trees can't be moved, collapsed, or bent. So I was thinking, why not make trees a stationary unit that will fall down when it is hit. If you made it be a unit, then the bomb will blow it down. Problem is keeping it stationary until the bomb blows it up. We wouldn't want little "ents" running around in OFP would we?

Good idea, but the performance will decrease a bunch.
Could be good for cut-scenes, if you have a smaller island.
It's only too wrp-edit and import some tree addons (there is lots of them).
