angled land
« on: 05 Sep 2002, 03:40:44 »
My island seems to be coming along nicely but I was wondering about the elevation changes being angular as opposed to rounded off. This is not a large island if that has something to do with it.Would like to know if this is normal
or if the next version of wrpedit fixes this.

Apologize for the double post not sure what was the cause.
Guess we always blame it on the programmer lol.

Every corner of each cell has a specific elevation. For that reason threre will never be rounded elevations within a single cell, so that the island looks angular at some places (strong elevation changes cause this heavily, e.g. at mountians)

The only solution for this is to use a 30 meter grid instead of of 50 meter grids, so that everything gets a bit smoother.
Are there other ways?????  ;)
