Flash in Signatures
« on: 12 Aug 2005, 16:06:47 »
A while ago I had some Flash in my signature and was asked (with the usual courtesy of the OFPEC mods) to remove it as it went against the policy on signatures. I have no problem with it (this is definitely not a complaint :)) but I was interested to know why. Is it just because they can take up too much loading time when someone looks at a page?

Cheers

Yes.   It could also distract too much from the post:  after all the post should be MUCH more interesting than the signature.

Overly-fancy signatures make the thread as a whole difficult to comprehend:  imagine reading through a long thread if everybody had Flash signatures ...
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
