As this topic title says, there's too big resolution on avatars. Look at my avatar! Looks strange, eh? Can u low the resolution?

It's your picture that's got a too big resolution. Resize from a larger pic, or do some borders around the original small pic.  ;)

Why dont you just getimagesize()?

if width or height > 85, reduce it, else leave it?

Make a 85x85 (Is that the site? I can't remeber) image in a program like Photo Shop, Paint Shop Pro, Paint etc, then copy your avatar image, and paste it. If your using PS or PSP, you could set the background image to transparent.
