It'd be nice to have little touches like flocks of birds, but if you're charging through the woods in the middle of a firefight, cracking rounds off in all directions, I doubt that a... I dunno, panther's going to leap down from the trees and tear your face off. Either because animals get a bit spooked when they hear loud noises like gunshots, or because Everon's hardly Panther country...

Lions don't actually do the hunting. Lionesses do all the hard work like hunting and all that, while the men-lions just concern themselves with sleeping, scoffing and sha- uh, making little lions  

But seriously, none of this is really possible in OFP, and I seriously doubt OFP2 will be the major leap forward that everyone thinks in term of engine capabilities.
