animating fire

how do you animate a flame? I want to set up a flamethrower script.  I will create a second M60 and turn it into a flamethrower tank.  Just a conventional M60, absent of the sabot and heat, but only has my new flamethrower and it's machine gun.

You'll want to check out the drop command for that project of  yours..

there is a good tutorial by vektorboson that should get you on the right track
