how to blow up something in mid-air

Hi everybody ..

my first post..


I've been fiddling about in the editor for some time now,

i'm having a problem in a mission i'm making,
i want to have an explosion in the air just under a chopper -
now i've managed to do all the setpossing and camcreate's to get an lgb under the chopper, but the lgb just drops to the ground..

i resolved this by placing two lgb's at the same time, resulting in a cataclysmic explosion sending the chopper a few kilometers away.. :) it looked very nice though.. :)

next i put a tv under the first lgb so it blows up instead of falling to the ground..
This looks bad.. :)

so i was wondering if i could trigger the lgb to blow up in mid air somehow? or any other bomb / shell for that matter..

Welcome to the forum sepi!

You've basically done the hard bit - creating two things at the same place to make an explosion.   That is the usual way it's done.      All you need to do now is experiment till you get the right size of explosion.    Try tank shells, grenades .... I don't know what happens if you use two different things.     Weapon and ammo list in the ed depot (v1.91) will come in handy.    LGB is a pretty big bang in OFP.

I'd say a FFAR was a middle of the road kinda explosion....should look ok ;)

INstead of putting a TV, just spawn to bombs at the exact same location and they will both explode instantly - with no tv flying everywhere

This will make a huge explosion right at the chopper

you can use some other shells to get a bettre effect- try using heat shells
