Sweden has a long and proud military history, and until very recently one of the largest standing armies (in ratio to population size) in the World. Historically, Sweden was an active military power from approx 1600-1730, when it built a sizeable baltic empire and fought and won numerous battles against Russia. Sweden has an airforce composed almost entirely of swedish-built and designed aircraft, and most of the weapons and vehicles of the armed forces are swedish-constructed. Operation Flashpoint is played by many Swedes, and I was surprised to see almost no swedish addons, when seemingly much less significant countries such as the Czech republic and Pakistan had many.
