how do i....

first of all this is my very first post! woo!  ;D   ok now

how do i edit a person to sit down on a chair and floor,

how do i put somthing on a table coss wen i edit it on the table it goes throw it  waste of time making a mission were you gotta talk to a radio thats UNDER the map!

and a few more below

how do i change the ammo for a 50Cal coss i was on a multiplayer game "conquer the island" and i saw a HE one  you make a normal one and one that sounds and acts like the aa guns but its a 50cal so how do i do that?   eh? ok i didnt understand myself that time.

i just remebered to ask how do i do that shelling thing?  coss i played redhammer with the invasion of malden you saw the LST' shelling the coast  that was wicked, how do i do that?

To make a unit sit on a chair just write :
this switchmove\playmove "onchair"
And to make a unit sit down on the ground :
this playmove "effectsitdown"

Write the commands in the unit's init field...

Shelling - If ou saw something in an official mission that yo ulike the best thing to do is un-pbo the mission and see how BIS did it.    But in any case there are buckets of artillery scripts in the Ed Depot.   The latest is snYpir's SP/MP Support Pack.

To put something on a table the easist thing is to use the setPos command.  I won't attempt the syntax because I'll get it wrong and confuse you, but search the forum, it has come up before.

What do you mean, change the ammo on the 50 calibre?    Again, if you have still have the mission, un-pbo it (use Amalfi's tool from the Ed Depot) and see how it was done.

And as Knut Eric said, Welcome to the forums!   If you are new to OFPEC spend a bit of time getting to know the Editors Depot, there is a lot of good stuff there.

editors depot - unofficial command reference

read it, save it, make your mission, when you come across a problem consult the unoficial command ref.

and too put a radio on a map (or any object) place the radio roughly on top of the table i the edtior.
double cleck on the radio and enter this into its initiation field.

Code: [Select]
this setpos [getpos this select 0, getpos this select 1,x]
where x is the height in meters of the radio to be placed.

for a table with map I think 1.3 is about right

ok thanks thats helped but the hands behing head im sorry mates but i cant find it! wen i get close it comes up with "cannot read page" then im
$"&^$£"&^£&!"!!!!! then i tought  i can ask you to put it in but then i thought noo he wouldnt..   to help you a bit read below

part 2 of my mission contains te capture of the hero then his heroic escape then the large battle of nogova (a battle that goes from the east side of the island to the other) then a cutscreen - the hero is retired with his wife but is it the end? *credits roll*-

ok i wanna know how can i make a dude put his hands on his head THEN walk coss i managed to get the hands on his head  WOOHOO!  :D but then  i forgot the code! plus my computer crashed  :(

so if you could find it desent and the time to put it in or at least a shortcut to were it is shown somwere in this maze of helpfull things id be very very very very very happy      but as usall tipicle me forgetting that  ::)

hello again viewers and friendly replyers.

come along a bump in the road, how can i make a parachute that is flying (found that out) with a soldier not a spec op onit ? coss im editin it part 5 of my miniservis  "the invasion of base blitz were the screaming eagels jump into lipany but,  how do i make a flyin parachute that isnt a spec op?  try to solve that one i dare you.

Hello

If i think i know what you are talking about heres what i am thinking:

Example Mission:
Nine soldies are parachuting  over the hills behind enemy lines.

Name the soldies:  s1 - s9
Make 9 parachutes and name them p1 - p9
In every unit put their matching number in the Initilization Field of that unit:
unitname moveInCargo object

This will make the unit in the parachute.

wen the eagles drop in they take a russian ammunition dump but umm  im made two russians surrender but they keep gettin shot! even wen they surrendered! and how do i get a guy to shoot a mortar and at a directed position?  coss after that wen it cutscreen's and it zooms off to the desert in nogova and the eagles are in camp with the entrenched mg guns in there and two mortar guys i want to shel the enemy town.  but i cant.   so help!   ::) as tipical im at ur mercy!

oh i forgot too howdo i transport a campaign mission or a MP mission into my senareo edit?  coss i wanna rip open a few campign missions and MP missions and see what makes some objects that im fasinated in tik

i am writing quick, if this won't help i can tell ya later, i need to go somewhere.

1st to make the person not to get shot put thsin the Initilization field:
unitname setCaptive true

make a gameLogic where you want the mortor to go and destroy and name it m1, and name the mortor s1

put this in the On Activation of a trigger (make the trigger so when ever he activate it he will do whatever you made him to do;  fire a mortor)

1st Way:
unitname doFire object (s1 doFire m1)

OR

2nd Way:
if that doesn't work put this:
unitname doTarget object (s1 doTarget m1)

then make another trigger around the game logic (m1) and in the On Activation field put this:
unitname doFire object (s1 doFire m1)

i think you are talking about lookiing whats making something happening in the MP Mission or Campaign... or whatever, i think you are talking about the PBO Tool
