Personal pictures are now enabled! ;D

Set your personal picture by going to your profile (click on the profile button in the nav bar below the site banner) and setting the check box and url where it says 'URL to personal picture'.

Please keep your personal pic small so that it doesn't chew too much bandwidth.

Please note that we are not hosting avatars due to server load.

Does it have to be a URL? I tried putting my clan's logo up using a c:\ address, but all I get is a rather lovely white box with a cross in it [/sarcasm].

Staff avatars will be probaly not be returning - due to the huge number of staff categories we have now.

Sorry, but yes it does have to be a url. I would like nothing better than for your image to be uploaded to our server and hosted for you, but unfortunately the huge server load we already experience prohibits this.

You'll have to hunt around for free web space on the net, and upload your image. :-\

I have seen alot of questions asking 'How to turn your Avatar Pic into a URL.' (Now here is where my skills come in - Webmaking)

A good Small FREE Host is www.netfirms.com .

Their really good. I made a website about 2 years ago on it, and it's STILL up. I guarentee you that it will stay up for a long time.

Anyway...

Most ISP's also offer some sort of free webhosting as part of the whole 'being a customer' thing.

So it could be worth looking in that direction as well for webhosting.

This will be my first post here at OFPEC nice forum you have! and how did you get ridd of the postcounts? that is nice then there is no SPAM (i was a big spamer once) but im not that anymore... and i was gonna say that personal pics are inportant to show what you "are"...! if you understand!

Hacked and diced the code so that there were no more post counts displayed.

I'm having trouble even in limiting to no pictures allowed in the signiture.. that's in my own forums obviously.

It's great that you've managed to get it done. I look at ofpec forums and then some other forums and they just look filthy to me ;D

I think the one here at ofpec must be the most tuned up YaBB in the whole wide web ;D
