Putting dead units in a vehicle.
« on: 09 Feb 2010, 18:51:00 »
Hi all,

I have this MP mission idea which is "dead" unless I can solve this issue:

- I can't put a dead unit in a vehicle (moveincargo) at all, not even in the editor so useless to even try on a dedi.

If you are quick (radio trigger within seconds) you can put the unit in cargo, but as soon as the unit is recognized as dead (as in "2 is down" or similar) the moveincargo command doesn't work on the unit.

Any ideas if my wish is possible at all?

I thought of the attachTo command, which might work, it just won't look as good.

I also want to avoid "dummy units" which are used as stand-ins. It will just be too complicated to keep track of in MP.

Thanks in advance,

And I looked and beheld a pale horse and his name that sat on him was Death and Hell followed with him.

I think the dead are ejected because some vehicles have ejectDeadCargo set to true in the config.. :dunno:

attachTo might work if you find the deadcargo anim and use that with it, as in force the dead into a different anim and then attach it to the vehicle :dunno:
