While checking
JasonO's post, I discovered, that this "retex"-feature is already implemented in ArmA1 (checked with 1.16 Beta)
I created a
package including the littlebirds for A2 conversion including most of the needed A1 content.
To my very own surprise, I was able to remove the RACS-style models by those entrys in the config.cpp:

The package includes 2 models (AH-6 and MH-6) in RACS and BLUFOR skins
