Camera scripting in ArmA
« on: 14 Jun 2008, 21:10:14 »
I am trying to follow the ArmA editing guide and I came across a small problem. I was reading how to obtain the coordinates and what the editing guide says simply doesn't work ( atleast for me). this is what's in the guide:

When the user finally finds the position he wants to use in the movie, he only needs to
press the left mouse button to save the current position (coordinates) in the RAM.

Now, when I pressed the mouse button ans minimized the game, I came up with nothing. Is there some other way of obtaining these coordinates?

I'm not interested in creating a camera, but I'm only interested in getting the coodinates for generating objects.

once the lft mouse is clicked.. alt-tab.. (better to run in window mode for editing.. no need to alt-tab)

then in an open notepad.txt file hit ctrl-v (paste)

works for me..

hope this helps and not hinders...
