General question about flood of islands

Checking out ofp.gamezone.cz, there are quite a lot of new islands - but most with suspiciously small file sizes.

SelectThis and Kegetys are names I know I can trust - and they have large files.

So what's the story with the other islands having such small download files?

The smaller islands are made with WRP edit and are totally new islands.  I think use default textures, so there is no need to include them.  Whereas most of the larger-sized ones are just default islands(Everon, Kolguyev, Malden) with different textures/trees/etc.

File size can vary depending on what the island maker adds to the island.

Objects: the more objects placed on the map the larger the wrp file will be.
Custom land textures: can take alot of room if higher res land textures are used (eg 512x512).
Custom objects: new p3d files and textures can take up alot of room too.

The actual terrain info will not vary much between island, it's the objects and textures that make the difference.
