dead faces in the water mister frodo!
« on: 01 Dec 2005, 10:37:45 »
i have made a few custom faces and they work fine, but i notice when a loon suffers a headshot, the face behind the blood reverts to a normal BIS face.

this does not happen with victor troska in the resistance campaign. his face comes up with a nicely rendered bullethole through his forehead and a big ole patch of blood, but it's still victor troska - it's not the same headshot face as the rest.

is there a "death mode" for faces which i've missed?

It's the wounds[] array in the Men-class; every face-texture is assigned a injured face-texture. But mostly it's the same injured face textures (of course a black soldier gets a black injured face); Troska indeed gets his own damage texture.

hmmm, so i take it that's in the main config? any way of incorporating that into the config for a facepack addon?

which sort of makes this an addon question.... quick, answer this before bedges moves it! ;)

It is a reference to the most excellent book "Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkein.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

does anyone have the answer to this? can i incorporate a 'wounds[] array in the Men-class' which vektorboson mentioned into a face addon config?

You might want to try CfgFaceWounds.

Something like this:

Code: [Select]
class CfgFaceWounds
   {
   access=1;
   wounds[]={"\mypbo\myfacetexture.paa","\mypbo\myfacewoundtexture.paa".....etc....etc};
         };

I think.............
