Question about Triggers/StarshipTroopers Mod

Not sure if anyone is familiar with this mod but
I was wondering if there was anyway to have
the aliens attack the troopers.  They don't have
any projectile weapons so was wondering if there
were any 'melee' attacks possible.

Any help would be appreciate. I'm a noob when it comes
to editing so be gentle  :)

Quote
WARRIOR BUGS

1. To get the warrior bugs to attack at any time put a load of bugs on the map
2. make a trigger with the name "SST_Bugs" case sensetive it takes time to activate so make sure it goes off in advance

I know it works with a trigger when activated by West present then after a while they come after you

Don't know what this means you must do in the mission
editor.

The way I read that it means place a trigger on the map.......

Name it SST_Bugs.......exactly that, it is case sensitive, so make sure you spell it exactly as stated.

Make the trigger activated by West ..... Present.

Clearer?

EDIT: Of course if you are playing an East soldier make that East.....Present

Ha, man I should be able to answer this, I mean I did make that script.

You need a trigger that covers the entire map (9999x9999 should do it), you need to make it activated by west present. In the name field, type SST_Bugs. I know it isn't exactly that great of a method but, at the time, it was as good as I knew how to do it  :-\

Wow I didn't know anyone was still interested in that mod  :o the first thing I ever worked on  ::)

Thank you very much Kyle, really appreciate it.

My fellow DevilDogs at Marine Corps Gamers association
were telling me about the Marine Corps addons and I came
across this mod which I'm a big fan of the movie/book.

Ok I tried that using 9999x9999 and then
activation West and then highlighted detected
by East, even tried west too. The bugs just stand
there for awhile and I even multiply the time by 4
and they still stand there for awhile. Any suggestions?
And for text I put 'SST_Bugs' like you said.

Am I missing any files too? I have the this:

Only .pbo is there anything else I missed?

First I need to hit planck for telling you to use east.

Ok that done, you need to set it to west. Also, as I asked to be put into the readme (good job whoever wrote it!), the bugs will only attack something that is close enough to it, about 200m or so, maybe less. And also, if you are more than about 50m away, it won't attack you unless it knows about you (firing your weapon will give you away). Yea the script does suck, buy like I said at the time thats the best I could do.
