I drew a modified version to show how I'd change it... the basic design is the same, but I made it so that the clip is clser to the handle and slides in along the triggerguard.

no offense or anything, but try gripping a gun like that. that would hurt. the CAM on urs looks a bit out of proportion. I do like your CAM view. Mine was kinda last minute. i do need to do something different with the stock.

lol, yah I know I kinda did the handle real quick and the CAM I just took from one of my other designs. But I think sliding the clip into part of the handleguard makes sense and would lower the whieght of the weapon.

yea, i had another version that a drew on paper that had the mag sliding by the grip, it was really halo-ish. ill mess around with it. i now have the reloading sound for all weapons, and the firing sounds for the M-7, M-70, and the M-12s

A script for the M-12's scope t fail on certain conditions (also via script condition) would be very nice..

your version is almost too big. the idea for the m12 is to be a weapon for special forces. the M-7 is the standard issue rifle, and the m70 is the new LMG. by the way, coldfire, i emailed you the sounds, u just need to unpbo them. I made some pistols too. they are .45 cal and have 13 round mags.

Great job on the sounds!  :o Definatly kickass.

All we need now is people to do scripting and such... something I'm amature at (at best).

Ok chaps and chapesses,

This sounds like it is turning into something other than an idea.

If you wish to do the recruiting thing, then please only in the Recruitment board.

Try and keep it confined to  Weapon Design.   8)

I dont think the CAM scope is very possible to make (It's possible, just very messy).
As for changing the scope, setobjecttexture isnt possible to use on optics (I have no idea how you'd go about getting the object name of the scope, and I seriously doubt you could, 1, get the object name, 2, setobjecttexture it)
I guess this falls under weapon design (It's directly relating to the design of the wepaons, anyway), if not, sorry  :-[

Well, I don't have a pic yet but...

The GPPR (General Purpose Precision Rifle)
20 rd 7.70 mm mag
single shot or fully-auto
20x max zoom on a computer projection, projects a little target leader in front of moving targets, can be replaced with non-computerised 20x zoom scope
can take AP rounds (for putting holes in APCs! look out drivers!)

I tend to go for accuracy, so if I used this rifle, I'd use single-shots. The barrel extends into the stock, with the mag locking into the bottom of the stock, so the weapon is easier to handle up close, but doesn't loose in any accuracy. It's not just a sniper, but a GI weapon as well. Not designed to be used as an mg though. Will post with pic asap
