PBO Application Code Request
« on: 08 Jan 2005, 15:02:45 »
Hello,

I am interested in developing a PBO program that is compatible with a series of other tools that I have made in VB 6.  I am looking for some code in VB 6 or something like it that can expand and compress files into PBOs.

Does anybody have any source code that can do this that they would be able to make avaliable to me?

Sorry if this is in the wrong board, but this seems to be the most appropriate.

Thanks,
angusjm

EDIT:
Oh, and if you manage to cook up a drop[] tool I will have your children (altough it would be physically impossible) ;D ;D

EDIT:
Hmm, that first maybe a bit outdated...
Dunno if this has any usefull stuff...

Thanks, I'll take a look.

If anybody has any sample code, or there are any VB6 developers out there that could help me with this code, it would be appreciated.

My aim would be for addon editors just to be able to right click on their folder they are editing, click test, and the app would automatically pbo the folder, put the folder into a mod and launch ofp.

I'm still at the ideas stage, but I would hope to integrate it with the new release of my ofp launcher (which has multi-mods etc).

And as a side issue, can anyone remember which version of directx comes with ofp?

Thanks,
angusjm

Resistance comes with DirectX 8.1....

Colonel_Klink has written some VB6 progs I think....
Dunno if he has any knowledge on pbo though...

There are some recent 3rd party pbo tools released so maybe those authors could assist you...
