Season's Greetings
« on: 23 Dec 2004, 23:30:19 »
This has got nothing to do with editing so I expect the thread will be locked in nanoseconds.
Nevertheless I would like to wish every one here a happy holiday and season's greetings for whichever god your culture worships.

I was bumbling around for years trying to make sense of OFP before I found this site earlier this year.  I even made some missions that I thought were quite good.  If you look at the scores in the missions dept you will see that I was alone in this view. Lol.  But my current ones are a lot better.  :)  Well at least I think so.

I have learnt an incredible amount from this site in a very short time.  I am grateful for the help, and I am particularly grateful for the courtesy and grace with which it was all given.

In turn, as I learn more, I try to help pay some of this back by providing help to some others.  Unfortunately I have been told I have a mischievous sense of humour that I just cannot control.  There may be times I have appeared less than gracious.  If that is the case then I am sorry that is just me.  Nothing serious is meant by it.

Thanks for all your help this year.  Looking forward to another good one.

You were almost right THobson, the thread did get locked, but it was moved elsewhere also.

Nanoseconds??  I think not, I don't think Noon is as quick as he used to be.

Anyway Seasons Greetings to you and everyone on the forums also.

on a point of relevant interest, on christmas eve/day some trees on everon change to christmas trees with stars/decorations/presents. apologies if you already knew but just take a look if you never have before - its very festive!

That is quite a good easter egg. It sure surprised me the first time I noticed it - playing a normal SP mission and suddenly come accross Xmas trees with presents in a Russian camp :D

Have a good New Year everyone :)

Ditto on what THobson said, some very good folks here at these forums, its been a great start on a mission that woulda taken me 4 times as long without all the help (and some hand holding too lol).

 Merry Christmas

Gotta see what those trees look like tommorow on everon, I never noticed that! lol
