Yes, but there is a workaround. We at PsyProduction have a MG jeep
that actually fires TOW missiles (and SAM missiles too).
BUT:
- the missile is fired by script, once a target has been engaged
(the target is not pre-set: AI and human players can engage
dinamically, just like they'd do with a normal tank, only ours
is a car class vehicle)
- it's not 100 % reliable, especially on low end system
(we got about 100 % reliability with 20 FPS or more, with 10 FPS
reliability drops to 50%)
What I'm asking you (everybody who reads this) is this: in
view of the above limitations, (and knowing you will not be
credited with any unit you will destroy with this car),
would you like us to continue develoment ? Would you be interested ?
We will release it as a template so an eventual addon maker can adapt
the script for his car model. From then on everybody will be free to modify
the scripts as he wishes. No credit, copyright and that sort of things
