Serious problems, please help

Hiya,

Firstly I uninstalled my Operation flashpoint GOTY ed so that I could start all over.
I tried to install the 1.90 patch but it kept saying that i was missing files and should re-install. I re-installed about 3 times and still no luck. I installed the 1.85 patch again even though the game is 1.85 anyway and it says the same thing.
Anyway, despite this annoying problem I installed some add-ons and kept getting error messages such as _No entry model.special and no entry config.bin/cfg weapons/ m4 and no entry 'model'
and for my wwII planes i get messages saying "invalid crew eca_usmp"

I really am confused at why im getting so many problems.

Any ideas will be welcomed. Thank you

Yep, I have all 3 cd's

is the resistance cd in your cd drive when you install the
patch?

Before this topic gets locked..............

I would try.......checking the Add/Remove programs dialogue after un-installing the game to make sure there is no trace of OFP......Resistance and Red Hammer still installed.

Then I would delete any left over directory and files the game was in.

Finally I would re-install.....re-boot..........then install patches.

Hope it works.

It is the only patch you need apparently. /EDIT

Not really...............if you manage to fix the update problem install your addons again and see if it works or not first.

This doesn't belong here, but if you need help I supose this place will do  

Question 1: Have you really unistalled the game tottaly and than installed again?

Question 2: You sure the patch your using is for Goty and not for Resistance?

Question 3: The game you have is original?

Possible Solution: The last problems like  _No entry model.special and no entry config.bin/cfg weapons/ m4 and no entry 'model' have one explanation, a bad addon  :-\ If that is the only problem you have, than search no more, your problem is the addon not the game  ;D

Possible Solution: If the problem persists when installing the patch, than make sure you use the patch with no addons inside the game (let BIS ones stay) and than make sure that the patch is really for goty

Finally everything seems to work, and yes I was trying to use a resistance patch - DOH!
