More Police units
« on: 14 Oct 2003, 10:34:44 »
Anyone got plans to create extra police units? I just thought it would be funky to have a swat team attached to the nogova police force. Also, hows about a chopper that allows, say, a police marksman to fire from it (from a stationary position, of course)?

Just a thought!  ;)

I made a resistance police addon awhile back but that was just to make police side on the resistance so they would fight russians and the russians would shoot back!

Is there any way to permanently assign the DMX police units to the resistance side, or would I need to mess about with the PBO to do that? I mean, I've found out how to set them as resistance for the duration of a mission, but it would be easier to just select them through the Resistance list.

And yes, more police units would be fun. A EOD unit, perhaps, and some more "modern" police cruisers.... Or am I the only one who wants Blues Brothers-style car chases? (Of course, that would require larger groups....)

Yeah, you can wait for the next version of that pack, which has a lot more content, and all the units set on the Res side by default.  ;)

Oooh, great! I rather like those vehicles, I can hardly wait. When's it due?

Are there any plans for a more "western" police pack as well?

Those DMX police units sound like a larf. Where can I get my hands on them, then? (and do they have more than the standard pistols to fight with?).

By the way, Torak, a mass blues brothers stylee chase across A2 island or over the bridge of Nogova in an old Chicago "black and white" would be utter class. 8)

Yes, definitely!

Is there any way of making the display show up in black and white, for cutscenes and so on? (Like the Captain Proton levels in Star Trek: Elite Force) That would be brilliant for a crime-based cutscene...

No release dates, and No, I have no plans for western police units.

Hey guys.

The guys from Miscellaneous Addons Incorporated, (M.A.I.) have plans to create modern police vehicles such as the Ford Crown Victoria, or the Dodge Intrepid. :D Go to their forum..at

http://miscaddonsinc.proboards6.com/index.cgi?board=pubidea

Only problem is: They need a blueprint of these two police vehicles  :-\

What about a mod with the various British police units? Uniforms, vehicles, dogs...

And we could even make it scary: traffic wardens.

And the best part is.. They are talented guys also because they made a huge plane ( not textured ) which looks kinda cool. So except really cool police vehicles!
