How can I determine the frame rate?

I need to know if my mission causes too much slowdown, is there any way to display the FPS(frames per second)?

download Fraps and have it runnig while you're playing OFP. It'll display the framerate in one of the top corners!
I think its www.fraps.com

Oh thats awsome.

I thought there'd be a way to get into a OFP debugging mode which displays FPS, but I guess not.

Just remember the result you get is only relative to the system you're playing on and the way your video settings are configured. Balancing playability can still be difficult. The benchmark command can go a long way to help if you know how to use it.

used correctly it will determine the benchmark of the player, and then if you have set up your scripts correctly, will run scripts that you decide are ok for that benchmark - useful for those laggy fire scripts  ;)
