Overview

Just an odd picture that has nothing to do with the mission. No description at all.

Intro

Nice pannings of the Poseidon ship and attack boats starting to make their landing in front of it. A bit boring to watch though with nothing exciting and I was hoping for some spirited music in the background.

A quick shot of the beach is also shown with a Russian patrol walking casually and unaware of the incoming U.S. raid.

Briefing

The plan page is a bit buggy and shows exactly the same stuff on two pages. The rest of the briefing is ok and especially good are the extencive surveillance photographs and situation reports. Take your time in reading it all through and you'll enjoy the mission more.

A small weapon selection is provided.

Mission

In the begining of the mission you're a lonely rider with orders to provide sniper cover to the attacking squads. You take out mg's and listen to all the radio traffic, trying to make a sense of it all. There's a nice atmosphere here. It really gets your blood boiling and you want to make it to the cover of the nearest mg hill. This is mostly thanks to the smoke throwing AI and very well made radio chatter.

After the beach is clear you get your squad to join under your command and proceed to clear an enemy outpost further inland. When you're done you get a long, long radio message from Papa Bear to move in to Vigny and destroy two T-80 tanks. Your M113 comes in handy here, because Vigny is quite far from the beach. Vigny is infested with enemy soldiers and destroying the tanks is not easy - should I say hard enough. Finally you get orders to return to base and the mission ends.
