Overview

It's all fine here except the second page. I'm not a fan of having to turn the page to get more information. Usually the extra page is needed for an overspill of info from page one, but here its just used for credits etc. Although I'm not a fan, there is nothing wrong.

Overview Picture: It's got a border and it's linked to the mission. Just lacks the shadow.

Intro

Yep, all fine here. Good movement, angles and timing. Nothing wrong with any of it.

Briefing

This is what I expect from a briefing. Plenty of information which will help you through the mission and for those of you who look for a story to get stuck into, there's background information on Angelina's "problem". Although I'm not usually interested in the background story aspect of a mission (unless it's part of a campaign), I thought this was quite good and even sounded believable.

One problem I had with it was the Notes section. In fact this spoiled the whole section for me. The letter sent to my wife was full of mission information. Even though it says, "Obviously I can't give you any details", the letter more or less gives a step by step run down of what's going to take place. Very odd.

Mission

The scripting here was good and worked well. Radio messages came at the right time, enemy reinforcments came just as things were starting to go well, and Angelina used her initiative after I took too long locating her.

Special

Lip sync was included where many people don't bother and sound files were used where possible. All in all, the scripting made what might have been an average mission pretty darn good.

Overall

(Review Date: Apr 2004) Overall this mission is good, in fact its better than that. My only problems come from the shortness and the lack of a few little touches here and there. I think that all radio messages in any mission should be audio as well as visual. I know it's very difficult to sort out voice actors and all that stuff, but it makes so much of a difference. The things I noted above don't take anything away from the mission but would have gone a long way to enhance it. 

Nothing else really stood out from the mission. I know that the author has put a lot into this piece of work and I've followed it from the early days of development. He used the Beta testing forums to great effect and has really got a good mission to show for all that effort. Reign of Terror is by no means amazing but is a quality mission which is playable, original and well thought through. It's good to see that decent missions are still being made out there.
