Overview

The Overview is fine and has an author-created (or edited) pic, which is a good thing, it is just a little difficult to make out at first. Text accomplishes its mission to draw you in, get you prepared. This Overview is Good.

Intro

The Intro is both complex and well executed. My only concern here is that it was pretty jerky on my machine, an AMD 1700+ with GForce3 Ti200 and 512MB DDR RAM, so I would recommend an even higher spec to get the most from the intro. I think the jerkiness may be caused by cameras targeted on moving vehicles (have seen this b4).

Briefing

The Briefing contains all relevant information and has working marker links to all the objectives. There are also links to various other info here, including an Intel Report and Current Political Situation brief. My only complaint here would be the way the reports and notes are presented ie. all in one huge paragraph but that's just eye candy.

There is a choice of weapons also, which is always a good thing.

Mission

If you are looking for a quick blast then this mission is NOT for you. The most important thing I found was stealth. The inclusion of time sensitive objectives is well implimented in the assassination objective. This is a challenging well thought out mission with advanced tactics needed to win it. I found the mission both entertaining and challenging when trying different approaches. Beware the search troops who will come looking for you at various times depending on what you do.

I don't want to give too much away at this stage. Suffice it to say, if you complete this mission first time then I will be surprised.

Outro(s)

The Outro is okay with a nice overlay when it first kicks in. Neat little sequence showing "base" with soldiers chanting "this is my rifle" song.

Overall

(Review Date: Sep 2002) A reasonably good mission that will keep most occupied for a while at least. Quite atmospheric in places, with some nice touches that will become apparent the further in you go. Beware the trackers.
